Information We Collect
Because we operate a FiveM roleplay community covering Greater Manchester Police, Lancashire Constabulary, Merseyside Police, National Police Air Service, Cheshire Constabulary, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service[cite: 1], we collect specific technical and identifier data to maintain server security and gameplay continuity:
- Identifiers: Your Discord username and ID, Steam Hex ID, FiveM License ID, and community forum username.
- Technical Data: Your IP address, connection logs, and hardware hashes used to prevent ban evasion.
- Application Data: Information you choose to provide when applying for factions, such as your age, roleplay experience, and availability.
- In-Game Data: Roleplay logs, character information, virtual economy balances, and moderation history (bans/kicks/warnings).
How We Use Your Data
We process your personal data under the following legal bases allowed by UK law:
- Legitimate Interests: To secure our servers, enforce community rules, prevent ban evasion, and manage day-to-day operations of the PNW community.
- Consent: When you explicitly fill out an application form to join a specific emergency service faction.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is only processed through third-party services vital to running the community:
- Discord & Cfx.re (FiveM): For authentication and account linking.
- Server Hosting Providers: To host our game server databases and website safely within secure UK/EU data centres.
Data Retention
- Active Accounts: We keep your in-game progress and data as long as you remain an active member of our community.
- Moderation Logs: To maintain community safety, records of bans, warnings, and severe rule breaks are retained indefinitely.
- Applications: Unsuccessful faction or community applications are deleted after 30 days.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
As a resident of the UK, you have rights regarding your data, including:
- The Right to Access: You can request a copy of the data we hold on you (such as your player profile logs).
- The Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can request that we delete your data. Please note: We may retain ban data and identifiers if it is strictly necessary to protect our community from ban evasion under our legitimate interests.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us via our Discord support ticket system. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
